Tell us a little about yourself!
    • I was a theater major and some days I am still not sure how I wound up in a tech career, but I love the challenge of it, so that is a plus. I love nothing more than curling up in my PJ’s and watching movies or TV shows with a cup of herbal tea. I am also a classically trained musician who played at Carnegie Hall back in high school, and I am currently learning to play guitar to keep my skills sharp. I also enjoy reading and writing, and on occasion I sing karaoke at one of the more reputable dive bars in town.

    • Santa Barbara

If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
    • The UK. I want to see London, and go the Glouchester cheese festival, and people watch in a pub in Ireland. I am also a big Dr. Who fan, so visiting Cardiff is near the top of my bucket list.

What’s your favorite famous or inspirational quote?
    • “Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” -Roald Dahl

  •
I first learned about CIO when I was hired as a Teller by The Bank of Santa Barbara, which is now American Riviera Bank, and still a client of CIO.

Before working at CIO Solutions, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
  • I worked at Borders on State St for 5 years and I was in charge of events for 4 of those years. The highlight of that was meeting Ray Bradbury at an author event a year or two before he died, I have never met anyone who commands the attention of everyone in the room so effortlessly without saying a word.

What is the one food you cannot resist?
  • Popcorn
What could you give a 30-minute presentation about with no advance preparation?
  • The importance of representation in fandom spaces(Or why Tumblr is kind of a mess but it is important to everyone who has ever wanted to see themselves represented in media.)

What is your proudest moment at CIO Solutions?
  • One time the internet went down when we were moving desks around and I discovered that we had created a network loop accidentally and we were able to get the internet back up after we closed the loop.
