Crow, which later evolved to CrowHawk, was a name given to me while I was focusing on healing, introspection, and re-connecting in a spiritual way.

Tell us a little about yourself!
  • Outside of work my main passion has always been world percussion- performing, teaching, facilitating, and good old-fashioned jamming. My specialty is Middle Eastern percussion, but I also play African, Latin, and other genres. More about a current project I am working on and a bio can be found at r3percussion.com.
Where are you from?
  • Originally from the East Coast, growing up in Philadelphia, PA and Atlantic City, New Jersey, then moved to CA in 1995.
How long have you been working at CIO Solutions?
  • This is my sixth year with the company.
If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
  • Tavarua Island, in Fiji, home of the world-famous left-handed wave known as “Cloudbreak”
What’s your favorite famous or inspirational quote?
  • “Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome”- Arthur Ashe
How did you first learn about CIO Solutions?
  • When Tektegrity and CIO Solutions merged
Before working at CIO Solutions, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
  • Not technically a job, it was volunteer work assisting elders of the Navajo Nation. For over a year I lived with a variety of families to help with daily life chores like sheep herding, permaculture projects, and subsistence farming in their isolated, harsh, high-desert environment
What is the one food you cannot resist?
  • Lasagna
What could you give a 30-minute presentation about with no advance preparation?
  • Iqa’at, the Arabic rhythmic modes. These are the equivalent to time signatures in western music notation. What I love most about teaching and performing middle eastern percussion is the rich diversity of odd\additive time signatures.
What is your proudest moment at CIO Solutions?
  • I don’t have any one in particular because my proudest moments are when I can help a frustrated client know their concerns are really heard, then with that understanding, I can either get the issue resolved or escalated to the right person or team who can take it to resolution.
Which one would you want most – flying cars, robot housekeepers, or moon cities?
  • Flying cars for sure, then I can actually fly like I do in my dreams.
What are 3 words you’d use to describe CIO Solutions?
  • Resolve, integrity, growth.
