JOB TITLE Deployment Team Supervisor

LOCATION San Luis Obispo

Tell us a little about yourself!
  • My free time not occupied by my kids’ high school activities is spent either on the beach kicking sand, or in the garage turning a wrench.
Where are you from?
  • Born and raised in Fresno, CA. Relocated to Arroyo Grande in 2013, then moved again to Orcutt in 2018.
How long have you been working at CIO Solutions?
  • 5 years
If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been to, where would you go?
  • Australia. I’ve always wanted to tour Sydney and take an overlanding trip through the outback.
What’s your favorite famous or inspirational quote?
  • Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid. -Albert Einstein
How did you first learn about CIO Solutions?
  • My son’s Boy Scout Master, a former CIO employee, knew I was in the middle of a job search and suggested I apply.
Before working at CIO Solutions, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
  • Twining Laboratories (now Moore Twining and Associates). I started out as a sample gopher, traveling up and down the San Joaquin Valley filling burlap sacks with material (dirt) from test sites. Over time I steadily moved from field to lab work. Eventually, I was tasked with running soil analysis for proposed road, building, and runway sites, as well as running concrete and asphalt tests. The short of it is that I spent many years getting paid to play in dirt, destroy concrete, and melt asphalt.
What is the one food you cannot resist?
  • Baklava
What could you give a 30-minute presentation about with no advance preparation?
  • Why not to chair a soccer club.
What is your proudest moment at CIO Solutions?
  • There really is not one defining moment I can think of for this one. I am simply proud to be part of a company that invests so much in and thinks so highly of its employees. I am proud on a regular basis to see those that I have had a hand in training, step up and take on more complex and challenging issues without the need for oversight or a helping hand.
Which one would you want most – flying cars, robot housekeepers, or moon cities?
  • Definitely flying cars.
What are 3 words you’d use to describe CIO Solutions?
  • Worth, Trust, and Tenacity
